Ανίχνευση της ικανότητας κατανόησης αναγνωσμάτων σε μαθητές που μεταβαίνουν από το Δημοτικό στο Γυμνάσιο: στρατηγικές και μοντέλα διδασκαλίας για την ενίσχυση και ενδυνάμωση του βαθμού αναγνωστικής κατανόησης με βάση κείμενα της νέας και της αρχαίας ελληνικής γλώσσας και λογοτεχνίας

Abstract

In the modern educational reality, understanding is the basis for managing and expanding knowledge. Especially in our time where the rapid increase of information is a reality, the education of students is considered necessary in order for them to become competent and critical readers to be able to manage and process this volume of information according to the occasion and the goal they want to succeed. Education and the state in general are called upon to contribute to the creation of capable readers, as the acquisition of literacy is considered an indeniable right of every citizen and international organizations (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, Federation of European Literacy Associations ˙ UNESCO) in recent years draw the attention of the world community to the need to cultivate literacy and literacy in order to eliminate illiteracy.Reading comprehension refers to the construction of meaning provided through interaction and engagement with the text (Guthrie, 2003). It is considered a basic skill for someone that must be acquired in order to be considered a competent and competent reader. Its conquest implies its teaching from the first school years of primary education and concerns all cognitive subjects. When the reader truly understands, then he goes beyond the level of literal comprehension and interacts with the text (Harvey & Goudvis, 2000). What is required in the learning process is not only the access of the text but also its comprehension, interpretation, evaluation and further processing.Reading comprehension is a challenge in the educational process for both the student and the teacher. It is a complex cognitive process, in which the reader tries to "communicate" with the text, to access it semantically, building semantic representations (Goodman, 1987b˙ McNamara & Magliano, 2009˙ McNamara & Kendeou, 2011˙Perfetti, Landi & Oakhill, 2005), combining elements with his own knowledge about what he reads (Kouloubaritsi, 2003), activating various mechanisms and factors, cognitive, linguistic, emotional.Comprehension of the text and especially the understanding of the meaning of a text is a matter of the reading process (Teng, 2009) as well as a prerequisite for the teaching and knowledge of all the cognitive objects of the study program (Iwai, 2009). Successful reading, both as a process and as a result, is a timeless goal for all educational systems (Alexander & Fox, 2004), which is why the literature speaks of teaching reading and reading comprehension by teachers (Wolf , Crosson, & Resnick, 2005) depending on the reading patterns that can be adopted (Baumann, Kame'enui & Ash, 2003; Bruce, & Chan, 1991; Guthrie, 2003; Kintsch & Kintsch, 2005). The teacher's contribution to the teaching of reading comprehension is important (Phelps, 2009). Teaching reading is a very serious task and its constructive and successful acquisition requires detailed planning, clear goals and immediate teaching of reading skills, linking it to authentic learning experiences (Blair, Rupley & Nichols, 2007). Reading comprehension is a skill that is of primary importance in human life, as it enables him to construct meaning and communicate with others and the environment (Clarke, Henderson, & Truelove, 2010).The purpose of this paper is to detect and examine what difficulties students encounter in the field of reading comprehension, why and how teachers they can contribute to accessing these difficulties. At the same time it aspires to examine whether and to what extent students can be educated through specific teaching models and strategies or through the application of modern pedagogical methods, practices, alternative strategies and teaching models, so that they are able to deal with any text succesfully at any level they are. Educating, strengthening and enhancing students' reading comprehension so that they are prepared and ready during transitions is one of the primary objectives of this study. Empowering students during educational transitions is considered crucial for their academic progress and success, which is why this study emphasizes transitions. The study is structured in six chapters which include theoretical and research part as well as a section with developed reading comprehension scenarios enriched with teaching strategies and reading comprehension techniques.

Στη σύγχρονη εκπαιδευτική πραγματικότητα, η κατανόηση αποτελεί τη βάση για τη διαχείριση και επέκταση της γνώσης. Ιδιαίτερα στην εποχή μας όπου η ραγδαία αύξηση της πληροφορίας είναι μια πραγματικότητα, η εκπαίδευση των μαθητών θεωρείται αναγκαία, προκειμένου αυτοί να καταστούν ικανοί και κριτικοί αναγνώστες για να μπορούν να διαχειρίζονται και να επεξεργάζονται τον όγκο αυτό των πληροφοριών ανάλογα με την περίσταση και το στόχο που θέλουν να επιτύχουν. Η εκπαίδευση και γενικότερα η πολιτεία καλείται να συμβάλλει στη δημιουργία ικανών αναγνωστών, μιας και η κατάκτηση του εγγραμματισμού θεωρείται αναφαίρετο δικαίωμα του κάθε πολίτη και διεθνείς οργανισμοί (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, Federation οf European Literacy Associations ˙ UNESCO) τα τελευταία χρόνια εφιστούν την προσοχή της παγκόσμιας κοινότητας στην αναγκαιότητα καλλιέργειας του γραμματισμού και της φιλαναγνωσίας με σκοπό την εξάλειψη του αναλφαβητισμού.Η αναγνωστική κατανόηση αναφέρεται στην οικοδόμηση νοήματος που εξασφαλίζεται μέσα από την αλληλεπίδραση και την εμπλοκή με το κείμενο (Guthrie, 2003). Θεωρείται μια βασική δεξιότητα που πρέπει να αποκτηθεί για να θεωρείται κάποιος ικανός και επαρκής αναγνώστης. Η κατάκτησή της συνεπάγεται τη διδασκαλία της από τα πρώτα σχολικά χρόνια της πρωτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης και αφορά όλα τα γνωστικά αντικείμενα. Όταν ο αναγνώστης πραγματικά κατανοεί, τότε ξεπερνά το επίπεδο της κυριολεκτικής κατανόησης και αλληλεπιδρά με το κείμενο (Harvey & Goudvis, 2000). Ζητούμενο στην μαθησιακή διαδικασία αποτελεί όχι μόνο η προσπέλαση του κειμένου αλλά και η κατανόηση του, η ερμηνεία, η αξιολόγηση και η περαιτέρω επεξεργασία του.Η αναγνωστική κατανόηση ή κατανόηση των αναγνωσμάτων αποτελεί ζητούμενο στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία τόσο για το μαθητή όσο και για τον εκπαιδευτικό. Είναι μία σύνθετη γνωστική διαδικασία, κατά την οποία ο αναγνώστης προσπαθεί να ‘’επικοινωνήσει ‘’με το κείμενο, να το προσπελάσει νοηματικά, οικοδομώντας νοηματικές αναπαραστάσεις (Goodman, 1987b˙ McNamara & Magliano, 2009˙ McNamara & Kendeou, 2011˙Perfetti, Landi &Oakhill, 2005), συνδυάζοντας στοιχεία του με δικές του γνώσεις σχετικά με αυτό που διαβάζει (Κουλουμπαρίτση, 2003), ενεργοποιώντας διάφορους μηχανισμούς και παράγοντες, γνωστικούς, γλωσσικούς, συναισθηματικούς. Η κατανόηση του κειμένου και ιδιαίτερα η κατανόηση του νοήματος ενός κειμένου αποτελεί ζητούμενο της αναγνωστικής διαδικασίας (Teng, 2009) καθώς και προϋπόθεση για την διδασκαλία και γνώση όλων των γνωστικών αντικειμένων του προγράμματος σπουδών (Iwai, 2009). Η επιτυχής ανάγνωση, τόσο ως διαδικασία όσο και ως αποτέλεσμα, είναι ένας διαχρονικός στόχος για όλα τα εκπαιδευτικά συστήματα (Alexander & Fox, 2004), γι’ αυτό και στη βιβλιογραφία γίνεται λόγος για διδασκαλία της ανάγνωσης και της αναγνωστικής κατανόησης από τους εκπαιδευτικούς (Wolf, Crosson, & Resnick, 2005) ανάλογα με τα μοντέλα ανάγνωσης που μπορεί να υιοθετούνται (Baumann, Kame’enui & Ash, 2003· Bruce, & Chan, 1991˙ Guthrie, 2003 ˙Kintsch &Kintsch, 2005). Η συμβολή του εκπαιδευτικού στην διδασκαλία της κατανόησης της ανάγνωσης είναι σημαντικός (Phelps, 2009). Η διδασκαλία της ανάγνωσης αποτελεί μια πολύ σοβαρή υπόθεση και για την εποικοδομητική και επιτυχή κατάκτηση της απαιτείται λεπτομερής σχεδιασμός, καθορισμός σαφών στόχων και άμεση διδασκαλία των δεξιοτήτων της ανάγνωσης, συνδέοντας την με αυθεντικές εμπειρίες μάθησης (Blair, Rupley & Nichols, 2007). Η αναγνωστική κατανόηση αποτελεί δεξιότητα με πρωταρχική σημασία στη ζωή του ανθρώπου, καθώς του παρέχει τη δυνατότητα κατασκευής νοήματος και επικοινωνίας με τους άλλους και το περιβάλλον (Clarke, Henderson, & Truelove, 2010). Σκοπός της εργασίας αυτής είναι να ανιχνεύσει και να εξετάσει ποιες δυσκολίες συναντούν οι μαθητές στον τομέα της αναγνωστικής κατανόησης, πού οφείλονται και πώς νομίζουν οι εκπαιδευτικοί ότι μπορούν να συμβάλλουν στην προσπέλαση των δυσκολιών αυτών. Ταυτόχρονα φιλοδοξεί να εξετάσει αν και σε ποιο βαθμό μπορούν να εκπαιδευτούν οι μαθητές μέσα από συγκεκριμένα μοντέλα και στρατηγικές διδασκαλίας ή μέσα από την εφαρμογή σύγχρονων παιδαγωγικών μεθόδων, πρακτικών, εναλλακτικών στρατηγικών και διδακτικών μοντέλων, έτσι ώστε να είναι σε θέση να αντιμετωπίζουν οποιοδήποτε κείμενο σε όποια βαθμίδα κι αν φοιτούν, με επιτυχία. Η εκπαίδευση, ενίσχυση και ενδυνάμωση του βαθμού αναγνωστικής κατανόησης των μαθητών, ώστε να είναι προετοιμασμένοι και έτοιμοι κατά τις μεταβάσεις αποτελεί έναν από τους πρωταρχικούς στόχους της μελέτης αυτής. Η ενδυνάμωση των μαθητών κατά τις εκπαιδευτικές μεταβάσεις θεωρείται κομβικής σημασίας για την ακαδημαϊκή τους πορεία και επιτυχία, γι΄αυτό και η παρούσα εργασία δίνει έμφαση στις μεταβάσεις. Η εργασία διαρθρώνεται σε έξι κεφάλαια τα οποία περιλαμβάνουν θεωρητικό και ερευνητικό σκέλος καθώς και ένα τμήμα με αναπτυγμένα σενάρια αναγνωστικής κατανόησης, εμπλουτισμένα με διδακτικές στρατηγικές και τεχνικές αναγνωστικής κατανόησης.

Dans la réalité éducative moderne, la compréhension est la base de la gestion et de l'expansion des connaissances. Surtout à notre époque où l'augmentation rapide de l'information est une réalité, l'éducation des étudiants est considérée comme nécessaire, afin qu'ils deviennent des lecteurs compétents et critiques afin de pouvoir gérer et traiter cette quantité d'informations en fonction de l'occasion et l'objectif qu'ils veulent atteindre. L'éducation et l'État en général sont appelés à contribuer à la formation de lecteurs compétents, puisque l'acquisition de l'alphabétisation est considérée comme un droit inaliénable de chaque citoyen et des organisations internationales (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, Federation of European Literacy Associations ˙ UNESCO ) ces dernières années ont attiré l'attention de la communauté mondiale sur la nécessité de cultiver l'alphabétisation et l'amour de la lecture pour éradiquer l'analphabétisme. La compréhension en lecture fait référence à la construction du sens obtenue par l'interaction et l'engagement avec le texte (Guthrie, 2003). Il est considéré comme une compétence essentielle qui doit être acquise pour être considéré comme un lecteur compétent et suffisant. Sa maîtrise implique son enseignement dès les premières années scolaires du primaire et concerne toutes les matières. Lorsque le lecteur comprend vraiment, il dépasse le niveau de compréhension littérale et interagit avec le texte (Harvey & Goudvis, 2000). Ce qui est requis dans le processus d'apprentissage n'est pas seulement l'accès au texte mais aussi sa compréhension, son interprétation, son évaluation et son traitement ultérieur. La compréhension de la lecture ou la compréhension de la lecture est une exigence dans le processus éducatif à la fois pour l'élève et pour l'enseignant. C'est un processus cognitif complexe, dans lequel le lecteur essaie de "communiquer" avec le texte, d'y accéder de manière significative, en construisant des représentations significatives (Goodman, 1987b ; McNamara & Magliano, 2009 ; McNamara & Kendeou, 2011 ; Perfetti, Landi &Oakhill, 2005 ), combinant des éléments avec ses propres connaissances sur ce qu'il lit (Kouloubaritsi, 2003), activant divers mécanismes et facteurs, cognitifs, linguistiques, émotionnels. La compréhension du texte et surtout la compréhension du sens d'un texte est une exigence du processus de lecture (Teng, 2009) ainsi qu'une condition pour l'enseignement et la connaissance de toutes les matières cognitives du programme (Iwai, 2009) . La lecture réussie, à la fois en tant que processus et en tant que résultat, est un objectif permanent pour tous les systèmes éducatifs (Alexander & Fox, 2004), c'est pourquoi la littérature parle de l'enseignement de la lecture et de la compréhension de la lecture par les enseignants (Wolf, Crosson, & Resnick, 2005) selon les modèles de lecture qui peuvent être adoptés (Baumann, Kame'enui & Ash, 2003 ; Bruce, & Chan, 1991 ; Guthrie, 2003 ; Kintsch & Kintsch, 2005). La contribution de l'enseignant à l'enseignement de la compréhension en lecture est importante (Phelps, 2009). L'enseignement de la lecture est une question très sérieuse, et sa maîtrise constructive et réussie nécessite une planification détaillée, la définition d'objectifs clairs et un enseignement direct des compétences en lecture, en le reliant à des expériences d'apprentissage authentiques (Blair, Rupley & Nichols, 2007). La compréhension de la lecture est une compétence de première importance dans la vie humaine, car elle permet de construire du sens et de communiquer avec les autres et l'environnement (Clarke, Henderson et Truelove, 2010).

Le but de ce travail est de détecter et d'examiner quelles sont les difficultés rencontrées par les élèves dans le domaine de la compréhension en lecture, où elles sont dues et comment les enseignants pensent pouvoir contribuer à l'accès à ces difficultés. En même temps, il aspire à examiner si et dans quelle mesure les étudiants peuvent être formés par des modèles et des stratégies d'enseignement spécifiques ou par l'application de méthodes, de pratiques, de stratégies alternatives et de modèles d'enseignement pédagogiques modernes, afin qu'ils soient capables de faire face à toute texte dans n'importe quelle classe et s'ils étudient, avec succès. La formation et le renforcement du niveau de compréhension en lecture des élèves, afin qu'ils soient préparés et prêts lors des transitions est l'un des principaux objectifs de cette étude. L'autonomisation des étudiants pendant les transitions éducatives est considérée comme cruciale pour leur progrès et leur réussite scolaires, c'est pourquoi ce document met l'accent sur les transitions. Le travail est structuré en six chapitres qui comprennent une partie théorique et de recherche ainsi qu'une section avec des scénarios de compréhension de lecture élaborés, enrichis de stratégies d'enseignement et de techniques de compréhension de lecture.
