Developing creative writing in primary school with the use of information computer technology (ICT): a psychopedagogical perspective

Abstract

This action research began in January 2011 and ended in June 2011. The mainobjective through the implementation of educational software "Young Writers" wasfirstly to investigate the possibility of assisting students in sixth grade primary schoolto experiences and develop skills for creative writing (targeting not only the linguisticand aesthetic development, but also personal and psychosocial empowerment), as wellas the possibility of transformation of the teaching - learning process in languagecourses, applying contemporary and timeless principles of student-centered, personcenteredand constructivist and emancipatory pedagogy, on the one hand and thecommunicative, procedural socio-semiotic language teaching on the other, in whichwill be used creatively while at the same time some of the ICT facilities will beexplored.
